WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Sons Without Fathers was the foundation of Idols Aside Ministries.
What began as a desire to reach fatherless youth grew into
a mission to introduce them to the love, hope, and identity found in Christ.
Through hunting retreats, outdoor experiences, and consistent intentional mentorship, we discovered that lasting change doesn’t come from a single event—it comes through consistent relationships.
As mentors invest in the lives of young people, they have the opportunity to point them to the one relationship that changes everything: a relationship with their Heavenly Father.
Those early experiences shaped the heart of our ministry and established the model we continue to build upon today. What started in Central Florida has expanded into multiple states, reaching more youth, equipping more mentors, and opening new doors for the Gospel as God continues to grow His mission.

To introduce fatherless youth to Christ through the avenues God has called us to use and to inspire the body of Christ to rise up and do the same!
Vision
Idols Aside Ministries exists to model Christ to fatherless youth, single mothers, and their families by building lasting relationships, consistent discipleship, and opportunities to experience God through hunting retreats, sports camps, community outreach, and family support. Our vision is to see the body of Christ equipped and empowered to reach fatherless youth and single mothers by connecting them to a local body church. Idols Aside Ministries is a 501(c)(3) corporation and a Christ-Centered ministry that has been serving Central Florida since 2009, expanded to Western Kentucky in 2017, and started in Texas in August 2026.
